Copyright

The Copyright law refers to the rights that give the creator the right to benefit from the creative work and protect that work. According to the Copyright law, the creator of a work is able to decide whether and under what conditions his work can be used, published and distributed by others. Therefore, it controls how others use, publish, and distribute articles. With the expansion of open access publishing, Copyright law has become more important. Considering that all journals of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences are open access and indexed in DOAJ database; It should be noted that open access is a completely legal way to access published works. It should be kept in mind that although the authors have the original rights to publish their research, when publishing they are often asked to transfer these rights to the publisher, and the publisher determines the necessary conditions for providing open access. The open access method of the university is Gold Open Access, which has the following features.

In Golden Open Access: 1. Reading and reuse of articles is free for everyone immediately after publication; 2. Payment of publication costs is the responsibility of research institutions, funders, or authors; 3. The article processing fee (APC) must be paid by the authors; 4. Authors retain copyright, the default Creative Commons License CC BY-NC 4.0, and the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) are licenses used for Copyright law, and personal archive policies.

Considering that more than half of the university journals are published by Medknow Publications, ethics is explained in detail on the website of this publisher at https://www.medknow.com/.
